Locate Your Loved One – Where is My Loved One | Georgia Department of Corrections

1. Confirm Eligibility
Make sure you’re eligible to visit and have a valid, government-issued photo ID. Certain restrictions may apply if you’re on parole or probation. This applies to anyone over the age of 18 years old.

2. Submit Your Application
Complete the Georgia DOC visitation form and include a clear copy of your photo ID.

3. Wait for Approval
Approval usually takes 2β4 weeks. Your loved one will be notified when youβre approved. You can also call the facility to check on your application status.

4. Prepare for Your Visit
Each facility has its own rules. Know the dress code, pack lightly, and bring only whatβs allowed (e.g., your ID, quarters for vending machines if permitted).
