Helping You Get to Your Loved One β€” One Mile at a Time

At LockedIN HOPE, we understand that the cost of visiting a prison can be a burden β€” especially when you’re traveling hours away, managing childcare, or navigating life on a tight budget.

That’s why we’re committed to helping families stay connected to their loved ones through safe, supported transportation solutions.

Transportation Assistance

We offer the following support services to help get you there:
  • 🚌 Group Visitation Van (monthly) to local facilities – Dekalb, Forsyth
  • β›½ Gas Cards for mothers who can drive themselves but need fuel assistance
  • πŸš— Rideshare Credits (Uber/Lyft) for shorter distances β€” funded through donations
  • πŸ“ Transportation Grant Application – fill out to request one-time or recurring help
  • πŸ’Ό Volunteer Driver Network – trained and trusted community drivers

We will help you prepare to Visit Your Loved One β€” One Step at a Time

Make sure you’re eligible to visit and have a valid, government-issued photo ID. Certain restrictions may apply if you’re on parole or probation. This applies to anyone over the age of 18 years old.

βœ… 2. Submit Your Application
Complete the Georgia DOC visitation form and include a clear copy of your photo ID.

βœ… 3. Wait for Approval
Approval usually takes 2–4 weeks. Your loved one will be notified when you’re approved. You can also call the facility to check on your application status.

βœ… 4. Prepare for Your Visit
Each facility has its own rules. Know the dress code, pack lightly, and bring only what’s allowed (e.g., your ID, quarters for vending machines if permitted).
